Coventry Transport Museum

At the weekend i headed down to Coventry to revisit the wonderful transport museum. I am currently developing a new section of my website which is dedicated to road transport so i needed to update my photography on the many many exhibits there. From the oldest cars to the fastest ones! You can see my photos here.

Coventry Transport Museum

On Saturday i headed up to Coventry and visited the superb transport museum there. I have been before (about nine years ago) and since then it looks like it has had a good revamp and is one of the best museums i have ever been to. Some great cars on display for sure. You can see my photos here.

New jamjar

No train (or bus) trips this weekend, instead i finally retired my beloved old Ford Fiesta which i have had for fourteen years and bought a new car, a Dacia Sandero. The Fiesta was my Dad's last car and i inherited it after his passing so of course it was sad to see it go, but all things must end one day. The new car is lovely, it is also very blue.

End of the Shark

I've only ever owned three cars in my life, and until today I still owned the last two. My second car was the Shark, an L-reg Skoda Favorit. For the last ten years it has been rusting away on my Mum's drive. I should have had it scrapped years ago but have always resisted, maybe i thought i would one day be able to restore it. Today it went, to be honest it was beyond hope. The steering broke when it was being dragged onto the truck to be taken away! It is sad that the Shark has gone, i have happy memories of being in it. But like most things, it must end eventually. At least i kept the number plate!
