Cigarette Card Stars (14) : Bonita Granville

Bonita Granville, born into an acting family, began her career in film aged 9 in 1932's Westward Passage. In her early career she was often cast as a naughty little girl. In the late 1930s she starred as teenage detective Nancy Drew in a series of films including Nancy Drew... Reporter from 1939. She is best known for these Nancy Drew films though also appeared alongside Mickey Rooney in a number of films.

Her film career as an actress mostly ended in the 1950s, though she went on to produce and appear in the Lassie TV series and films. She married oil millionaire and producer Jack Wrather and became an executive in his company. She died in 1988.
